  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) has been utilized by the Florida Court System to resolve disputes for over 25 years, starting with the creation of the first citizen dispute settlement (CDS) center in Dade County in 1975. Since that time, the uses of mediation and arbitration have grown as the Legislature and judiciary have created one of the most comprehensive court-connected mediation programs in the country.

    NEW RELEASE

Attention Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediators

The Supreme Court Committee on ADR Rules and Policy request your input on the development of ADR Systems rules, standards of conduct and statutory revision. The committee request comments in 3 areas: 1) big picture comments; 2) specific comments on wording; and 3) since the posted rule proposal is tied to the rules of civil procedure, should there be comparable revisions made to the family and juvenile procedures
